Game Video Problems

Hope I am in the right forum. I just purchased the game SpongeBob Square Pants Employee of the month game for my grandson. The trouble that I am having is anywhere I might be in the game when I move the mouse the picture on my monitor flashes. I have a ATI 9800 All In Wonder Pro Video board using an optical mouse. The video board has 128M of DDR with accelator. My system is 3.2 gig using Intel board. All my other Video and Graphics work great with other programs however this game is where I have the flashing of the monitor screen troubles. Thanks.

The game should run fine on those specs you would think, the game should come with a spec card (on the box, or in the manual) check your specs against it.

Thanks for the answer. Yes my computer more than meets the specs on the box. I just don't know if it is the problem with the game itself or the video card. I tried contacting ATI however they referred me to the game maker in which I receive no response.

That's the problem with a lot of the game makers, once they have your money they don't feel obliged to help you.

Sounds like the game may be possibly trying to run a refresh rate that is not agreeing with your current settings.

If you have your desktop set at a higher resolution, try setting your desktop to something like 800x600 (just temporarily) then run the game and see if you are able to get in to adjust the game settings. Once ingame (if this works at all) see if the game has options to setup higher resolution for the game.

If that works, you can set your desktop to the resolution you had it at before.
