does it matter what cable i use im using a 14pin 1 and when i got it it had a 15pin 1 with it but it was cut will it make a differnce to my picture quilty its a lcd falt screen

So you have cut a 14 pin cable and connected it to a 15 pin cable? Depends what that extra 1 pin/wire is for I guess.
